Advice for Your First Visit
We recommend you bring a friend or family member with you to the first appointment to help you through the initial interview and appointment process. There is some paperwork to prepare before your appointment, which can be emailed or mailed to you. You should bring this paperwork and your insurance card.
What to Expect
at Your First Appointment
When you come to The Hearing Group for your hearing care, you will always be greeted by a friendly face. Upon your arrival we will have you fill out some forms and when you are done one of our audiologists will bring you back for your appointment.
- Your appointment will begin with a case history. We will go over the forms you filled out and ask you questions about your hearing and what you are looking to gain from the appointment.
- Before we start the hearing test, we will explain the process and answer any questions you may have.
- Then we will look inside your ears and check for any signs of impacted earwax or ear infections.
- Then we will perform a series of diagnostic hearing tests to measure your hearing ability.
- After the hearing test we will explain your results, answer any of your questions, and show you a pair of demo hearing aids.

The Hearing Group is located on Pleasant Valley Way, directly across from Francis A. Byrne Golf Course and a block away from the Metropolitan Plant Exchange.
